WHisTlE & Flute

“A delicious funky track, full of energy and bag’s of character.”

“Cheeky, fun and full of truth. Delivered with such class”

“You can’t help tap your toes and smile to this one, it’s infectious”

I wrote Whistle & flute after one Christmas. Watching the mad grab for plastic and metal, with such pressure to conform to the advertising telling me that I would be a bad father if I didn’t buy my kid’s one toy or another. Watching the mad scramble to get “things” to many those thing’s that define who we are. The car’s we drive, he houses we live in, the places we shop for food the clothes we wear. I felt like I was caught in a trap. So I wanted to celebrate being un-concerned about those things. To pretend for a while that I could escape the need to conform to those images. It really brought to mind Jesus’s words about the birds not being worried about what they are going to eat or the flowers that had no mind for what they need to wear. Just how un important those things really are.
By the way whistle and flute is rhyming slang for suit !!
