Its a cold and rainy Friday at the Pavilions in Derby. I’d heard about Dimitri through some friends and been listening to a borrowed album (sorry Jimi)

I totally loved the album. It sounded so different but familiar if you know what I mean. So along with a couple of mates, here we are.

The lights go down, the smoke rises to this distant piano playing a beautiful melody. Almost hypnotising. The packed room goes quiet. A shape emerged from the haze to a really sweet track. Beautifully bare. Just piano and a vocal. This guy can sing, man can he sing !! I was hooked !!

The video screens playing images that join the dots. Not too obvious but bring out the heart of the song. Now we’re into a real funky explosion of sound as we take this journey. It really does feel like that too !! Kinda roller coaster like !! From smooth to funky to powerfully and soul searching.

The end is hear and i'm exhausted. I feel as if I’ve been on a mamouth trek through my soul !! I know it sounds a bit cheesy but it made me feel something. I came away with something. I was lifted, exited.... Full !! Like I just ate a really satisfying meal. Defiantly one of those experiences you just never forget !!!
